Safari Adventure Tours to Katavi National Park

KATAVI NATIONAL PARK is the third largest National Park in Tanzania (1,823 sq km).  It is well known for its huge herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe and eland.  Of course the predators; lion, leopard and hyena are often found following close behind.  Katavi also has the rare sable and elegant rhone antelopes.

Katavi National Park hosts about 450 different species of birds.  Water birds, giant Nile crocodiles and hippos can be found along the river banks and in the floodplain areas of Lake Chada and Lake Katavi.

Because of its remoteness Katavi is frequented by very few travelers.  At most times of the year you can almost have the entire Park to yourself.  This is the way wild, untouched Africa used to be.photos katavi
