Meet the team at Lake Shore Lodge and Lake Tanganyika Adventure Safaris
We are an owner-run Lodge and fell in love with this beautiful Lake when we arrived here in 2005. We started building Lake Shore Lodge in October of 2007 and have loved the challenges and life-altering experiences that each day here brings.
We are originally from South Africa and have lived in Tanzania since 1997. This amazing Country is truly a place where dreams can become realities and where you feel alive. Lake Shore Lodge is one of our dreams! We wanted to share this incredible place with all sorts of people and so have tried with our different types of accommodation, to cater for everyone. Welcome to our home and to our piece of paradise on earth!
LOUISE HORSFALL: They say dynamite comes in small packages, and at 5 foot one and a half inches she has no off button! Lou is gorgeous, overwhelmingly fastidious about all things organizational, and somehow still has time to check in on meal preparations and enjoy the odd glass of wine around the fire.
CHRIS HORSFALL: Chris, a builder by trade, is happiest when he is building exciting projects in remote destinations, mixing cocktails, rolling pizza dough and enjoying life to the full. He lives by his motto: “Life is no dress rehearsal” and every day with him is an adventure!
Our EXCEPTIONAL Team are all local villagers from Kipili. We take great pride in our in-house training and in helping the rural people from our area learn new skills.
